Über mich
reliefweb.intWhen you think of popular party starters, weekday
lunches, or even post-work hangouts in Nigeria, Mexican food may not immediately come
to mind, but a Los Angeles based restaurateur is seeking to change all that.
Uzo Umeh has set a mission for her aptly named company, El Padrino, to bring high quality Mexican food to Nigeria, starting
with Lagos.
Formerly a branding and communications lead
at VFD investment Group in Lagos, she then went on to become a restaurant general manager for Chick-Fil-A in Westwood, California.
After two years, she made the decision to move back to Lagos for the love of the city and the food to create El Padrino.
El Padrino has been establishing itself in the past few months through engagements with multiple office mixers, event receptions
and is now also recently offering personal deliveries.
The mouthwatering menu has quickly caught the attention of many foodie patrons, earning Uzo the ordained title
of The Taco Lady.
From snacks like chips and guacamole to mains like tacos and burritos, El Padrino adds a
different glam and a healthier perspective to your
day or to any event (i.e office mixers, weddings,
birthdays, etc.) you have lined up in the future. To top
it off, all of their ingredients are locally
sourced, the condiments are made
fresh every day, and every item is customizable to your liking.
Swing by next time you're in Lagos and have the El
Padrino experience yourself.
