Pathfinder Display Screen Question

Hi, I am new here...I have a 2012 Pathfinder that seems to be having a monitor issue. The screen (that shows HVAC controls, tire pressure, etc) will not turn on. I know that the monitor is not dead because the back up camera still displays through it and when the car starts, sometimes the normal display screen appears briefly (for up to 3 seconds) before going black again. The backlight still shows (even though the screen is black, I can hit the brightness button and see the backlight adjust).
