Med-View Airline customers were once again abandoned in Lagos on Monday, as the troubled carrier failed to fly them out to London for the second day in a row.
The airline assured its customers stranded at Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Sunday that it would airlift the passengers to London-Gatwick on Monday, but could not do so due to the non-availability of an operating aircraft.
Med-View also partially blamed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for its woes, as it claimed that the failure of the regulatory agency to issue the certification to its wet-leased aircraft was responsible for the cancellation of flights in recent days.
Our correspondent learned that Monday’s scheduled flight has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 13:30 hours. The airline has also stranded Lagos-bound passengers in London, who are scheduled to depart the British capital tonight.
